Angry Twatter

As some of you know I am spending a lot less time on Twitter these days but it hasn’t stopped me noticing someone (not naming names) on my tweetstteam is becoming FAR less tolerant of things lately.

I feel it’s reflecting the more general right wing and intolerant the country is becoming as a whole.

I’m a little stunned as they used to appear to be a rather laid back creature in the past, would have the odd angry outburst but otherwise seemed rather genial. But in the last few weeks they now seem to intolerate anything or anyone that slightly deviates from the norm. Perhaps they have taken up Daily Mail readership? Perhaps they’ve been swayed by their local Tory MP?

I’m worried as I see us having less and less in common and wonder if I should still follow them.

I had a similar dilemma with another Tweeter who I stopped following. They were very nice in other ways except for being extremely ‘fattist’ – something which I couldn’t help but take offence to. At first, I excepted it was their opinion and they were entitled to it but then there was one Tweet of ‘fat bashing’ that just went too far and I had enough!

I think this latest ‘Twatter’ may end up the same way (ie: dumped). I can’t be doing with constant angry tweets putting the world to rights.

My brother’s favourite adage fits. If you have nothing good to say, say nothing.

Reverse Order Bowie…rekindled.

Around six weeks ago I started a little challenge I called ‘Reverse Order Bowie’. It was sparked from the desire to listen to all of David Bowie’s albums but doing something different than just doing a chronological list of the albums. So I came up with Reverse Order Bowie. A list that put my preferred Bowie albums from least to most favourite album. You’ll find the list above in the navigation bar, or just click here (you can also see reviews I have made of each album as I listen to them).

I don’t own EVERY Bowie studio album. I did at one stage, but two that I sold on I never kept a copy of. Thank you Spotify!

The first album on the list I no longer owned as I used Spotify to listen to it. I felt I needed to justify the positioning of each album on the list, so I started reviewing them.

About one week in life got in the way and I stopped listening/reviewing albums. I want to get back into it though, so I am starting tonight!

I’m up to Tonight (no pun intended).

Blog Import!

I also meant to say, so that the new site doesn’t look so sparce, I imported my Blogger posts to here.

I didn’t hold out much hope for a success but I think Posterous have done a mighty good job at it!

Hello Posterous!

I spent some of last night and some of this morning ‘tweaking’ my blog to just how I want it. I’m pretty happy with it now. Now all I have to do is have tpoics to post about! Lol

If I really try to write something, it’ll no doubt be about the inane stuff EVER but myabe I need to push myself to be creative.

Obviously you are always welcome to leave comments. I have even made it so no one has to sign in to Posterous, or Facebook (or whatever other login Posterous has) to leave comments, but comments WILL be moderated (a warning for you spammers out there – don’t waste yours or MY time).

So here I am using yet another blog site. Let’s see how we go 🙂

Back To Blogging?

Who knows…

I’m just playing around with the idea. It might just end up being about my daily TV viewing.

I’m getting it to import my old Blogger site…Dawkins knows if that’ll work. We’ll see. Anyway, I HAVE to go to bed.
